Seyret
Do you have a release timetable?
No, we are coding when we have free time. Sometimes we give estimated date, but it is not strict. We do not promise for that date. Coding is not our main professions.
What is Pro version, why don't you make Pro features public?
Seyret is not a simple script. It is really very complex and we believe successfull. Coding Seyret really takes too much time, sometime we work during nights. We think it is fair to pay something for this script.
Will you remove free version in the future?
No, there will be always a free verssion. But difference between free version and pro verssion will increase.
How long will you support Seyret?
We don't know. But we are planning to support it for a long time, maybe years. If we decide to stop coding Seyret, before we give up, we will release all necessary codes and maybe an article about coding Seyret. So don't worry, Seyret will live long.
Do you give personal support for free version users?
We don't promise, but if we have time we may help personally.
Will I pay for Pro version again?
No, on newer versions you'll see that your Seyret is pro.
Can I use Pro vesion on another domain or subdomains?
No, Pro license is only for one site. If you want to change domain name that you use Seyret, just contact us. In future we are planning a tool to give possibility to change yourself.
Will I lose my pro version when I reinstall my Seyret?
No, your pro status is recorded on our servers. Even if you completely wipe your system, your pro status will not be changed. Just reinstall Seyret on same domain, you'll use pro again.
Why do you use a pro update system?
Some main Seyret features depends on third party video servers, like Youtube etc. Sometimes they change their system, so Seyret begins malfunctioning. Then we analyse their system changes, change necessary codes, upload our servers. Users just click "update my pro definitions" link, that's ok. Otherwise, it will be difficult for users.
Why do you use a seyretfiles directory outside the components folder tree?
When you uninstall a component, Joomla completely deletes the directory under components folder. If we keep uploaded videos, thumbnails etc, you'll lose all of them during a version upgrade process. So the best way to protect these files is to keep them outside of the components directory tree.
Why "seyretfiles folder tree" is not created during Seyret install automatically?
Normally Seyret creates this folder tree automatically. But if you have a file ownership problem, this tree will not be created. You can find detailed information in diagnostics page.
What is diagnostics page?
On that page you can find an analyse report about your System. Mainly you can see seyretfiles directory tree and connection checks results.
On diagnostics page, I see some folders are missing. Why? What should I do then?
If your folders are not created automatically, this means you have a fie ownership problwm. On that page you'll see a session user name, also you'll see file owners. If your session user name is different from file owners, this will cause problem with creating any file or folder. To override this problem, there is a FTP layer on the same page. Fill all necessary areas and try to create these folders via FTP layer. If you cannot succeed, you can manually create this folder via a FTP client.
I've created all folders, even changed CHMOD to 777, but alerts are still yellow, not green. Why?
If you have a file ownership problem, results will be yellow. If you change CHMOD to 777, it will be ok for components, but then you'll have security problem. So we don't use green, everything is ok, when you have a file ownership problem. In this case we think, you also use some Joomla folders with 777 permissions. That is a security risk. We strongly advice you to contact your host provider about this problem. Your server is not well configured.
On diagnostics page, I see that Seyret Functionality is failed under Connection section. Can I use Seyret?
Major features of Seyret depends on connection functions. There are two main connection options in PHP, we have coded both of them. Seyret automatically selects working one and saves it as default. If both are not usable, we are afraid you'll not be able to use Seyret full functional. You can contact your hosting about this issue.
On diagnostics page, I see that Seyret Functionality is passed, but Google connection is failed. Why?
On some servers there may be some extra programs, like firewalls etc. This means on server settings connection is allowed, but there is another problem. You can contact your hosting about this issue.
I don't have a valid Joomlaholic User ID. Where can I get?
It is generated automatically on our servers. If you don't have one, this means you have a connection problem. Check diagnostics page.
On my page I see some Javascript errors. Why? What can I do?
Seyret uses mootools for Javacsript framework. There are some known conflicts with mootools and other Javascript libraries. You should use less Javascript codes to avoid conflicts. You can fined some more information on wiki.

Why don't you answer all topics in forums, or sometimes delete?
We all have limited time. We are trying to balance between support and coding. If we give a superb support, you'll not see new Seyret versions in near future. So if the question is asked before and answered in forums, we simply don't reply. People should respect our time.
